Disability pension

The occupational pension includes a disability pension that provides you with compensation if you have been sick-listed for three months.

Disability pension from Alecta complements the compensation you receive from national insurance and how much you receive depends on your salary. In order to receive a disability pension, you must have been ill for 90 consecutive days or a total of 105 days in different periods over the last 12 months.

What you should do to obtain a disability pension

In order for you to receive a disability pension from Alecta, your employer must complete a form with details of periods on the sick list and enclose a doctor’s certificate. Then you will receive a disability pension from Alecta on the 25th of each month.
