Occupational pension with Alecta

Alecta occupational pension consists of a number of different components, usually referred to as ITP, TGL and ITPK. What types of insurance are hiding behind these acronyms? Here is a brief description where we explain the different components.

The ITP occupational pension contains three components:

  • retirement pension
  • disability pension
  • family pension

Retirement pension is the pension you receive when you retire and for the rest of your life. Disability pension provides you with compensation when you have been on the sick list for more than 90 days. Family pension is designed to provide your immediate family with financial security in the event of your death.
Occupational pension also includes the following: 

Occupational group life insurance TGL

Occupational group life insurance provides compensation in the event of your death. A lump sum will be paid to your survivors, or to the person you choose to be the beneficiary.

ITPK

A complementary retirement pension that is normally paid for five years.
